How to Make Crock Pot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta

1: Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of the crock pot.

2: Top with the cream cheese, garlic, parmesan, and garlic parmesan sauce in that order.

3: Cook until the chicken is tender.

4: Shred the chicken, then stir it and the heavy cream into the sauce.

5: Cook and drain the pasta, then mix it into the chicken. Enjoy!

Hint

Shred the chicken while it's still hot but safe to handle. Hot meat shreds much more easily than cool meat.

Recipe Tips

  • Spray the bottom of the crock pot with non-stick spray or lightly grease it to keep the chicken from sticking.
  • Add the cream to the chicken mixture just before serving to prevent curdling.
  • Add a slurry of 1 teaspoon of cornstarch and 1 teaspoon of water to the crock pot in the last hour for a thicker dish.
  • To get every last drop out of your sauce bottle, add a little milk to it after emptying it. Then, shake it up and pour the contents into the crock pot.

Flavor Variations and Substitutions

  • Use chicken thighs, turkey, or even ground beef in place of the chicken.
  • Any short pasta will work well in this recipe.
  • Use gluten-free pasta and sauce to make a gluten-free version.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a kick of heat.
  • Try adding mushrooms for more flavor.
  • Sun-dried tomatoes and bell peppers add a bright pop of flavor perfect with the garlic sauce.
  • Asiago, pecorino romano, or gouda all work well in place of or in addition to parmesan.

What to Serve with Crock Pot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta

Pair this creamy pasta with bread, salad, or your favorite sides for a hearty dinner.
