After years of shipping gift baskets all over the US, we thought we needed to put together this short list of gift basket shipping tips to help you get your gift baskets delivered where you want them, to who you want them delivered to and when you can expect them.

Get The Address Correct!

• Make sure you verify the shipping address is correct before you complete your order.

• Address corrections cost time and money - once a package has shipped, it will have to get all the way to the destination on the label before any re-routing can take place and there will be a $20 address correction fee charged to your card to cover the cost from the carrier.

• Just because you have a physical street address for a person or family doesn't mean that they don't have a PO Box.  Only the USPS can deliver to a PO Box so get the number if they have one.

Sending Gift Baskets to a Hospital?

• Hospitals have mail rooms and hospital mail rooms aren't as efficient as you would expect.

• Many times patients are discharged early and there is no way for you (or us) to know so your basket that arrives when we expect it to has no recipient there. In these cases the hospital will eventually get around to forwarding it on to the patient's house.

• In general, when people check out of the hospital they usually have a lot of other stuff to take with them, so why not make your gift basket a joy to come home to instead of a burden to carry out?

• We will ship to a hospital, but do expect delays from the time the basket arrives at the hospital until the patient actually receives it

Sending Gift Baskets to an Apartment?

• Please ensure that someone will be available at the delivery location to sign for the shipment on the day of delivery. In general shipments to apartments will not be left at the door. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery time with any of our couriers.

• Make sure to include any APT # or Suite # in your Ship-To info. There will be a $20.00 charge for any address correction charged to your card to cover the cost from the carrier.

Sending Gift Baskets to a Business?

• To ensure a timely arrival, please verify all receiving policies of the company prior to ordering, especially if you are sending to a business location that has increased security (such as government buildings and banks).

• We will not be held responsible if the delivery location will not except the package due to security issues.

• Please confirm that the recipient will be at the delivery location on the date of delivery.

Sending Gift Baskets to a School?

• Please verify all receiving policies of the school prior to ordering to ensure you select the appropriate shipment method. Ensure that the recipient will be at the delivery location on the day of delivery.

• If delivery is to a dorm please provide Hall Name and room number if available, because they do have central mail stations and often need as much information as possible.
