BBQ Chicken and Ribs

BBQ Chicken and Ribs Recipe

Ingredients:

BBQ Chicken and Ribs
  • 1.0 ounce Halladay's BBQ Rub
  • 2 lbs chicken pieces (such as thighs, drumsticks, and/or breasts)
  • 2 lbs pork ribs, trimmed and cut into serving-size pieces
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • BBQ sauce (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat: Pat dry the chicken pieces and pork ribs with paper towels. Brush them lightly with olive oil to help the rub adhere.

  2. Apply the BBQ Rub: Sprinkle the Halladay's BBQ Rub generously over both sides of the chicken pieces and pork ribs, rubbing it in to ensure even coating. Use the entire 1.0 ounce of rub for both meats.

  3. Marinate (Optional): For more intense flavor, you can let the seasoned meats marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.

  4. Grill or Bake: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F) or preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • For Grilling: Place the chicken pieces and pork ribs on the preheated grill. Grill the chicken for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F for chicken). Grill the pork ribs for about 30-40 minutes, flipping occasionally, until tender and cooked through.

    • For Baking: Arrange the chicken pieces and pork ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes for chicken, and 40-50 minutes for ribs, or until fully cooked

  5. Serve: Once cooked through, remove the chicken and ribs from the grill or oven. Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, brush with BBQ sauce before serving for extra flavor.

  6. Enjoy: Serve the BBQ Chicken and Ribs hot, alongside your favorite sides like coleslaw, cornbread, or grilled vegetables.

This recipe highlights the savory flavors of Halladay's BBQ Chicken and Ribs Rub, enhancing both chicken and pork ribs with a perfect blend of spices for a delicious BBQ experience.
